Enrollment Characteristics: Norhtwood has a diverse popluation of students from a variety of backgrounds. 62% of Northwood Students are on free or reduced lunch. 16% receive some type of special education services. ELL students average around 20 per year from the likes of Japan, Mexico, and Africa.
School History:

Northwood was built in 1958 to serve the community as one of the two junior high buildings. It eventually changed to a Grade 5 and Grade 6 building. The current grade 4 & 5 configuration came about when the district opened the new middle school for Grades 6-8 in 2004. Four elementary (K-3) buildings feed into Northwood.
