Hands-on activities are featured in field trips to the Museum. Field trips are generally an hour and a half in duration. Plan extra time for a visit to the Museum Store.

In conjunction with other area attraction, the Museum offers two additional class trip programs: "Labor Education Tour," with visits to the Botto House and the Paterson Museum. Students experience the home an workplace experiences of immigrant industrial workers of the early 20th century.

"Millowner/Millworkers Tour," with visits to the Botto House and Lambert Castle (Passaic County Historical Society). Students compare and contrast the lifestyles of immigrant industrial workers and mill owners of the early 20th century.

Exhibits: The American Labor Museum is headquartered in the Botto House National Landmark, site of rallies during the 1913 Paterson Silk Strike. Permanent exhibits include four restored period rooms (kitchen, dining room, bedroom and parlor) and Old World Gardens that recreate the life of working immigrants in the early 19th century. Also a permanent exhibit on the 1913 Paterson Silk Strike features historic photos.
