Program Highlights:
I am a school librarian and throughout the year I share books to inspire gardening with the students. I occasionally teach an afterschool class called Reading and Growing in the Garden. I've created an underwater garden, citrus garden, pizza garden, pumpkin patch, native plant garden, rose garden and square foot garden. The kindergarteners feasted on stir fry rainbow chard and first graders had a salad party with the crops we harvested.
Program History:
We received a grant in the past from Lowe's for $4800.
Volunteer Participation: We have after school work parties open to parents and students.
Program Information:
I try my best to balance the library, the garden & my home life with 3 children, so any help is much appreciated.
