Support Services:
Mentoring program to help students with organization, study skills, etc. Faculty serve as mentors for 2-4 students each. The mentor meets with each student for 30 minutes each day and serves as an academic "point person." Clinical program to help students address social/emotional issues surrounding their learning issues, self advocacy skills, self esteem issues, etc. All students attend group 2x per week. Groups are run by Masters level professionals and the group size averages 5-8 students. Students also utilize group to explore everyday adolescent issues in a safe, confidential environment with peers.

The mission of Hill Top Preparatory School is to prepare students in grades six through twelve with diagnosed learning differences for higher education and successful futures. Our school is a co-educational day school that offers an individually structured, rigorous curriculum that is complemented by a dynamic counseling support and mentoring program. Hill Top Prep seeks students who are able and interested in fully participating in Hill Top Prep's educational community. Philosophy/Belief Statement:
Success at Hill Top Prep depends on that pivotal moment when students recognize that they have the ability to successfully move forward in spite of their learning disabilities. In our small, intimate environment, students are able to develop greater understanding and skills to cope with their learning disabilities. Open communication is encouraged at every level and is reinforced through our group counseling and mentoring programs. Through open dialogue, trust and confidence are established, enabling students to develop and apply self-advocacy skills to both classroom and social situations. These skills and the utilization of the many supportive aspects of our program allow our students to manage rigorous academic requirements with success.
