Experience Required:
Our Nakuru, Kenya project provides free vocational training for marginally educated women. We focus on tailoring. The women also learn small business management, money management, parenting skills and healthy lifestyle choices. Volunteers are asked to help with English lessons, computer training, sewing instructions, web page help, grant writing or keeping the younger children occupied during the day while their young mothers attend class. Most of our students, along with their children live at our Nakuru facility. Volunteers live in private rooms at the facility also.
Travel Arrangements:
Applicants will be required to make their own travel arrangements to Nairobi. We can arrange for a taxi to pick up volunteers at the Nairobi airport at the volunteer's expense.
