Mission Statement:
The Mission of Be the Star You Are!®, a not-for- profit corporation, is to provide, promote and distribute its library of books and other media to empower women, families, and youth-at-risk to improve their daily lives.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
The Vision of Be the Star You Are!® is to help all women, families, and youth-at-risk, regardless of ethnicity, religion, sex, vocation and avocation overcome obstacles, increase self-esteem and give these people a head start so they can beat the odds. We GROW people.

Since our founding, Be the Star You Are!® has served approximately 209,800individuals and families within 72organizations and has logged more than229,990 volunteer hours, while distributing over $1.6 million in resources. Be the Star You Are!® was nominated for the California Governor's and First Lady's Service Awards and been touted with five-star ratings as a top-rated non-profit by GuideStar and Great Non-profits in the Women's Empowerment Campaign. The Be the Star You Are! radio program broadcasts to 5.5 millionlisteners in 82 countries. More than1,800 authors, experts, and professionals have been interviewed on our show. Over 500 books have been read and reviewed by our Star Teen Book Review Team and published by publishers, The Reading Tub, and on our web site. We may be small, but we are MIGHTY!
