Philosophy/Belief Statement:

This philosophy is to provide resources and support to community leaders and public school teachers so tthat their vision of improved community environments an quality of life may be realized. Ultimately, our goal is to provide resources to a grassroots network of environmental leaders that will make positive environmental impacts across Chicago.

Program History:

Since 2006, C3 has been training community members and teachers to lead environmental projects in their neighborhoods. Since this time, C3 has trained over 300 volunteers that have completed over 250 grassroots projects. The Student Club program has involved 84 Chicago Public Schools and 1500 students in after school conservation programming. In the 2010-2011 school year, Studen Club program will grow to include 115 Chicago Public Schools. C3 partners with 17 local conservation organizations that provide additional volunteer opportunities to our volunteer network. In addition to supporting individual project, C3 works to bolster participation in conservation opportunities that preserve and protect Chicago' unique natural resources and neighborhood quality of life.
