HOMEWORK CLUB
We serve Latino children who need help to improve their grades and whose parents don't speak English or don't have the skills to help them at home.
2006- The Coalition of Latino Leaders-CLILA's Homework Club started in 2006.
2007- The number of children participating increased and the need for more volunteers increased too.
2008- Promoted the program among the public schools and the Latino community, also tried to find funds or resources.
2009- The Homework Club was restructured as of July 2009, and we have now a ESOL certified teacher who kindly volunteers as our new Homework Club Director.
