The Mission of Community Hospice of Texas is to provide compassionate end-of-life care and services.

Philosophy/Belief Statement:

Our Vision statement is "The Vision of Community Hospice of Texas is to be the recognized leader for the end-of-life care in all of our communities."

Program History:

The merger of four North Texas organizations formed the largest non-profit hospice provider in the state of Texas. The challenge for Community Hospice was to proactively design a new structure that could be sustainable in the changing competitive medical environment. At the same time, perpetuate the non-profit mission and its community reputation of high quality service. To accomplish this mission and vision, three other hospitals affiliated with the newly created entity became the "Community Hospice of Texas" in 1996.

Additional Information:

Community Hospice of Texas also serves the Fort Worth, Dallas, Waco and Mexia area of Texas.  The need for volunteers are rising as our organization has grown.  We strive to serve the families with whatever is needed at their time of loss.  It does take a special person to want to volunteer for end-of-life patients but volunteers can be utilized in so many difffrent areas.  We would love to send you more information about our organization and for you to consider becoming a volunteer.  We do welcome students and will assist in recommendations for scholorships.
