Mission Statement:
ComputerCorps is a internationally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are dedicated to providing access to computer technology and skills training for under-served families, while eliminating electronic waste (eWaste) in our nation’s landfills.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
Using computer technology and knowledge to bring families and communities together.
Program History:
Program started in August 1997 with 2 volunteers. Since then we have served over 5,000 volunteers who have contributed more than 500,000 volunteers hours to this grassroots project.
Events:
1. “Every Home A Classroom” (Via Schools) works with school districts and community organizations to assure that every family with school age children has an internet-ready computer system in their home.
2. “Every Home A Classroom” (Via TechCamp) is a vacation program for youth 10-15 years old to learn about technology and build their own computer system.
3. “Every Home A Classroom” (Via Volunteering) is a program for volunteers ages 9 to 90+ to earn computer equipment and training.
4. “Techs-In-Training Program” (TECHS) for 16 to 90+ year old individuals who want to go beyond the basics of computer hardware and software.

OUR GOALS : REFURBISH – REUSE – RECYCLE – TRAIN
1. To receive computers and electronics from individuals, businesses, and community organizations.
2. To refurbish, repair, and upgrade computers, printers and monitors.
3. To donate computer equipment to deserving individuals, organizations and schools at little or no cost.
4. To recycle unusable parts and metals in order to save costs, generate revenue and reduce landfill waste.
5. To train people in basic and intermediate computer technical skills - both software and hardware.
6. To provide volunteer opportunities for individuals who would like to help others in need.
7. To encourage community and corporate sponsorship for recipients of computers and training.
8. To provide the highest level of security of your data, with our certified data destruct program.
