Based on a private ecological reserve in the rainforests of northern Costa Rica, this project acts as a home for rescued wild animals and also is a site for ongoing conservation and community development projects that help to protect and sustain the natural beauty of the rainforest and local residents.

What's Included?
- Accommodation with a Costa Rican host family

Volunteer Activities
- Help feed, observe and administer general care to animals
- Assist with various conservation projects
- Work in the greenhouse
- Help maintain trails in the reserve
- Construction of new habitats for animals
- Assist with current community outreach projects
Requirements
- Minimum 1 week commitment (maximum 3 months)
- 16 years of age or older
- Consent to criminal background check for volunteers 18 and older (Greenheart Travel will process this for you)
- Beginner level of Spanish, intermediate or higher is beneficial
- Willingness to help with any and all needs of the project
