Mission Statement:
American INSIGHT's first annual online Free Speech Film Festival connects new voices around the world, and provides a creative outlet for talented filmmakers of all ages to share their ideas about what Free Speech means.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
The Free Speech Film Festival is produced and brought to you by American INSIGHT's Internship Program. By developing real-life and virtual communities among students, citizens, scholars, educators, and the general public, American INSIGHT creates dialogues about Free Speech.
Events:
Our Free Speech Film Festival’s Awards Ceremony will be held on May 16, 2012, at the American Philosophical Society: our nation's oldest library, started by Benjamin Franklin in 1743. Next door is Independence Hall, where America's Declaration of Independence and its Constitution were written, in downtown Philadelphia, the city where Free Speech was born.
