Mission Statement:
GO Campaign, a registered nonprofit, improves the lives of orphans and vulnerable children throughout the developing world. We pursue our mission by partnering with local grassroots organizations that provide children in need with the care and services - such as food, shelter, health care, education, vocational skills and the love - they require to survive and thrive. Since 2008, GO has funded over 35 projects in 15 countries, and within days of the 2010 Haiti earthquake GO mobilized two airplanes of medical supplies and raised over $65,000 for emergency relief to children.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
GO raises awareness and funds for small organizations because of their proven ability to improve the lives of the children that depend on them, yet they are falling through the cracks and are in need of resources. Working directly with our partners on the ground, we ensure every dollar is spent nurturing youth, implementing sustainable solutions and contributing to community development.

GO Campaign is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented and professional individual interested in working with youth for the benefit of youth throughout the developing world. We are a casual and professional team working in a fast paced environment with a lot to accomplish. A small but growing nonprofit based in Santa Monica, we're looking to increase our visibility and augment our youth engagement initiatives both locally and nationally. The ideal candidate will dedicate a minimum of 20 hours per week for at least four months to this position.
Primary Responsibilities:
Youth Outreach
- Spearhead awareness-building speaking engagements targeting youth on GO Campaign, our projects and the tangible ways to get involved.
- Identify and initiate introductions to like-minded organizations or companies for potential collaboration.
- Act as GO's primary point of contact for youth, responding to their inquiries and providing activity support.
Youth Initiatives
- You will create engaging, action-oriented collateral that supports youth-led philanthropic efforts and activities - think of a "how-to" guide to help them successfully execute an activity, fundraise, plan an event, build awareness, etc. in support of GO Campaign and our projects. This may include defining and establishing the structure of a "GO Club", an informal club whereby youth are empowered to spearhead and implement their own ideas to make an impact on children's lives.
Qualifications and Expectations:
- Excellent writing and communication skills, proficient in MS Office Suite
- Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator are a plus as some light graphic design work may be needed
- Ability to work independently with own computer and Internet access
- Commit to completing project(s) in a thorough and time-efficient manner
- Previous work with students (grades 2-12)
- Basic knowledge of international development
