The Goodwill GoodGuides youth mentoring program is to empower at risk youth to make positive ife choices that enable them to maximize their personal current and future potential.

The Goodwill GoodGuides youth mentoring program envisions a nation in which every youth experiences nuturing and positive relationships and community support that enable all youth to develop to their full potential, with the capability of making informed, responsible decisons as involved members of their communities.

Events:

GoodGuides is a career focused mentoring program to help youth set goals in regards to careers. The program is designed to promote opportunity and positive choices for youth who are at risk for delinquency and contact with the juvenile justice system. By engaging youth in positive in positive activities with adults who are s trong role models, youth receive the encouragement and support they need to maximize their potential.

Build relationships by planning and participating in activities together

Be willing to share information about your career and career path and explore career options with mentees

Help your mentee build self-esteem and motivation

Promote and exhibit personal and social responsibility

Help set goals and support youth as they work toward accomplishing them

Serve as a positive role lmodel by modeling desirable behaviors
