Mission Statement:
Grants To You through its local chapters and online provides training in grant research and writing to primarily senior citizens and students who have a desire to assist their favorite, local nonprofit with their grant research and writing.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
To provide a more fulfilling life to senior citizens and the opportunity to sharpen skills and obtain community service credits for students and at the same time assist local nonprofits with their fund raising in order that they may continue to achieve their mission.
Program History:
Started in 2001, Grants To You now has 20 chapters in 10 states. Over 600 have graduated from the program and in excess of $1 million has been won as a direct result of the assistance of our volunteers. In June of 2002, GTU launched its first online grant research and writing class with more to follow as funding permits.
Additional Information:
Grants To You has been honored by Wells Fargo Community Partners on two occassions noting: "Grants To You is a double barrelled winner helping senior citizens and local nonprofits at the same time. Wells Fargo awarded GTU a total of $9,000 which was used to create its extensive, interactive web site and to create and launch its first online class.
Grants To You is seeking individuals who have a love of community and some good administrative skills to start either a classroom based chapter or an online chapter. For additional information go to grantstoyou.org and clikc on Chapters.
