Winter Science Break Camps

Dear Science Teachers and Guidance Counselors,
 
 
The Great Lakes Science Center has an exciting and unique volunteer opportunity for students who are interested in science and science education: Science Break Camps. Camps run during school breaks, which include sessions for winter, spring and 10 weeks in the summer.
 
Camp volunteers will get to help facilitate camp operations and activities. Winter Break Camp 2009 begins December 21, 2009 and all sessions will be held at Great Lakes Science Center in downtown Cleveland. If you have students who maybe interested please encourage them to apply. A letter of recommendation is not required with the application but it is recommended. Applications are due no later than November 11, 2009.   
 
Interviews will be scheduled for November 17 from 4:00 to 7:00p.m. A mandatory training will be held on December 12 from 10:00a.m. to Noon. Winter Break Camp sessions are December 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 and 31. The minimum commitment for winter break camps is one eight-hour day. Camp hours are 8:00a.m to 4:00p.m.
