Mission Statement:
GREY2K USA is a national non-profit organization working to pass laws to protect greyhounds. Our principle mission is to make dog racing illegal nationwide, and we work in the legislative, judicial and citizen initiative processes to reach this goal.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
Dog racing is cruel and inhumane and should be outlawed.
Program History:
Since our formation in 2001, twenty-five tracks have closed, literally splitting this industry in half. Today, there remain just twenty-three tracks in seven states. We offer a national referral service to promote greyhound adoption and help fund adoption activities all across the country.
Events:
In the past, we have held a National Greyhound Memorial Day and may do so again in future.
Additional Information:
Anyone who would like to learn how to successfully advocate for greyhounds and run a small non-profit is welcome to join our team. No matter who you are, you man make a difference!
