Mission Statement:

The Kauai MRC is organized and operated by the Hawaii State Department of Health-Kauai District Health Office in collaboration with numerous community partners. The Kauai Medical Reserve Corps serves a community of 62,000 which includes both the islands of Kauai and Niihau. The mission of the Kauai Medical Reserve Corps is to establish a team of local volunteers who can contribute their skills and expertise for medical and public health service throughout the year and during times of community need. The KMRC also works to enhance the knowledge of its community in disaster and emergency preparedness, as well as to promote the initiatives of the Surgeon General. Kauai has the first Junior unit in the State of Hawaii; the junior unit works in conjunction with the adult unit in all of its activities.
