The Mercy Medical Center Volunteer Program began in 1941 during WWII. Because the war utilized many nursing staff, volunteers were needed to help in providing nursing aide care. Since then the program has expanded to serving all areas of our hospital with support services.
Last year over 630 different volunteers assisted in helping our staff and providing assistance to our patients and families. 76,000 hours were donated.

Events:

Our Mercy Medical Center Auxiliary volunteers have many fundraising events throughout the year from a geranium sale in the spring to chocolate , uniform, jewelry and other sale events.
