Every year, thousands of school aged students visit the MVHM to learn about the history of New York City. In our programs, volunteers facilitate classes that are developmentally appropriate for each age group and allow children to learn about social history during the 1820s and 30s; a huge time of growth for the city. Topics include immigration, urbanization, industrialization, population shifts and diversity.

Benefits: Training in Visual Thinking Strategies, and informal environment teaching skills, an ID card that allows you complementary admission to most museums in New York City, a museum shop discount, and the opportunity to connect with people interested in life-long learning.
