Philosophy/Belief Statement:
Through spiritually empowering individuals and communities, Paraveda looks forward to a world in which all people experience a sense of well-being at the levels of body, mind, and spirit; a world in which satori, grace, shaktipat have realigned humanity with Universal Peace; a world in which each person feels a sense of purpose; a tolerant world that realizes Oneness in diversity.
Program History:
Paraveda is a sacred yet accessible online spiritual education, resource and community center. It brings together preeminent living Teachers and Seekers of diverse wisdom traditions to facilitate personal transformation and spiritual exploration.
Hoe do we intend to Serve?
TEACHERS: Paraveda serves and honors wisdom Teachers through a program that allows the broadcast of On-Demand and eventually “Live” lectures, practices, ceremonies and celebrations via the Internet. This solution will broaden the Teachers’ ability to reach Seekers around the world.
STUDENTS: Paraveda offers Seekers inexpensive access to the most preeminent wisdom teachers located all over the globe from the comfort and convenience of their own home. Seekers are also able to commune with like minded-Souls from all over the world.
Paraveda will enable teachers to reach a broad on-line community primarily by recording and uploading new content onto the website. We will create unique content with a digital production team to Paraveda's teachers and post it on our site for a small percentage of the future revenues to recover the cost to Paraveda. We will create and maintain a vibrant on-line community that will access this new content.
Events:
Paraveda’s website will offer (in a phased approach):
1. Spiritual education via Original Live and On-Demand digital videos of Teachers conducting lectures, practices, ceremonies and celebrations. Articles and essays written by Teachers will also be offered.
2. Community Building platform that allows both Teachers and Seekers alike to commune and share via blog, email and, personalized profiles.
3. Shopping Cart so that Seekers can register for Live Events conducted by Teachers as well as pay for on-demand videos and purchase books, CDs, DVDs and any other teaching tools offered by the teachers sponsored on our site.
Additional Information:
Currently Paraveda has various volunteer opportunities available for individuals age 18+ who are skilled in the following areas: web design and development, digital recordings and media and content management.
