Population Served: pregnant women and teens
Mission Statement:

Our mission is to stop the ever growing epidemic of baby abandonment and neonaticide. We want to make the name Project Cuddle and it’s 24 hour toll-free crisis hot-line household words. This will give frightened girls/women a place to which they can turn to avoid abandoning their newborn babies. A related objective is to inform girls at the junior and senior high school levels about the Project Cuddle program. All girls/women need to be made aware that help is immediately available to keep them from breaking the law and at the same time, give their baby a chance at life.

Philosophy/Belief Statement:

No girl/woman needs to be alone any longer. They are often stressed to the point that they feel the need to deny the baby they are carrying in order to survive. They see no options or hope at the end of the tunnel. Along with Project Cuddle’s emotional support, we aim to find them confidential, safe, and legal options. Girls that have suffered from physical and mental abuse, as well as alcohol and drug abuse, prostitution or incest, are all welcome to receive help from Project Cuddle. We do not pass judgment. We are here to save the tiniest of victims…the babies. Our final goal is to help these expectant mothers not to break the law, so that they can be proud of their decision.

Program History:

Since the organization's inception in 1996, Project Cuddle has saved over 660 babies from abandonment.
