Philosophy/Belief Statement:
I am HIV-positive for 12 years and a brain cancer survivor for 7 years. My doctors diagnosed me with terminal brain cancer back in 2002. I was determined to beat the brain cancer and I still run marathons with my wife in America and Africa as well. The Foundation tries to raise awareness that just because people are diagnosed with so called terminal illnesses, they can still live a productive life if they have access to the AIDS medicine and follow-up medical care, exercise, eat healthy and do not drink or smoke. In Africa the problem is far worse as there is not enough clean drinking water, inadequate supplies of nutritious food, tuberculosis, malaria and poverty contribute to early life expectancy when people are diagnosed with HIV/AIDS
