Additional Information:
The SVdP Free Dining Room in Oakland serves nearly 1,000 meals daily to the homeless, the hungry and the poor. More than 20 volunteers help us serve the daily meal, providing prep assistance, serving meals, pouring beverages, washing dishes, tidying the lunchroom, and providing a caring smile to those in need. Students are welcome to provide community service hours. Volunteers must call to schedule a place on the serving calendar and will be provided a short orientation on their day of service. All volunteers fill out and sign a registration form (youth between 14 and 17 years of age must have their parent or guardian's signature).
