The underlying principle of our programs is the concept of Relational Diplomacy -- recognizing that the relationship between people of diverse backgrounds is the basic building block for uniting the world. United Planet’s innovative programs are designed to expose our common human bonds, generate respect and appreciation for our cultural, racial, and religious diversity, and enrich lives of our neighbors worldwide.

Volunteer Abroad!
Through local partnerships, our volunteer abroad trips called Quests provide meaningful volunteer experiences and support for communities in need in over 40 countries. In doing so, United Planet empowers people of all ages to form genuine cross-cultural relationships while making a direct impact on the world. Programs include Short-Term Quest (1 to 12 weeks) and Long-Term Quests (6 months to 1 year). Volunteers also have the option to participate as individuals or in groups. Trips include full immersion in the local culture with home stays, excursions, and cultural activities such as cooking or dancing lessons.
The men and women who join United Planet short-term Volunteer abroad Quests come from all walks of life and reflect a diverse range of personal, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. United Planet Volunteers share a deep concern for our world, a true desire to make a difference, and a passion for cultural discovery and exploration. Language fluency is not normally required but basic knowledge of the local language is helpful. The minimum age for our volunteers is 16 and there is no maximum age.
