Mission Statement:
Our Mission is to eliminate the barriers of racism and level the playing field for all African Americans and others at risk by promoting their economic self-sufficiency and entrepreneurship through effective leadership in the areas of comprehensive employment, youth and family develoment, and advocacy.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
We visualize strong African American families and individuals who are fully educated, employed, empowered, healthy with quality housing and whose contributions are valued and recognized as benefiting the total community.
Program History:
The Urban League of Greater Cincinnati is the region's oldest and largest community-based organization devoted to empowering African American individuals and families to enter the economic and social mainstream.

Volunteer tutors are needed during the school day from 10 - 11 and 12-2 and after school from 2:30 - 4:30. Also, a strong black male presence is needed in the school between 7:30 and 2:00 p.m. interacting with students, having lunch, sharing your experiences and career paths.
