Mission Statement:

Wolf Run Wildlife Refuge and Educational Facility, Inc. began its lifesaving efforts in 1993. The facility, located in Nicholasville, KY, was enacted to help innocent animals find a world that was safe, free from abuse and a permanent sanctuary for those that could not be released back into the wild. Wolf Run has grown into a state and USDA licensed educational facility that houses Kentucky native wildlife as well as African lions to South American cougars, from Wolves and Coyotes to our native Whitetail deer. We work to offer each of them an existence that closely mimics their natural habitats.

Philosophy/Belief Statement:

We believe in 'Giving Life back to the Wild'

Program History:

Wolf Run is a 501(c)3 non-profit NO KILL facility. We receive NO government, state or city funding and rely completely on donations. We have been featured on Transformation Nation Television and the Kentucky Education Television network. We are licensed by the State of Kentucky as a Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator and as a Licensed Educational Facility. Wolf Run Wildlife Refuge is also licensed by the Department of Agriculture and by the Board of Directors for Kentucky Wildlife Rehabilitators Association. Wolf Run Wildlife Refuge has also been featured in Vogue, Allure, Lucky and Cosmo magazines.

Additional Information:

We are always in need of volunteers to work our fundraising events, help provide care to the animals, help work at the refuge on Saturdays when we are open to the public, as well as a variety of other needs that only you-our volunteers can do!
