Class Programs:
Egypt of the pharaohs, Monet's Paris, ancient China and more-the Nelson-Atkins makes a memorable and highly instructive school trip. Expose your students to works by masters from many cultures, spanning 5,000 years.
The Nelson-Atkins offers free, one-hour docent-led tours to school groups, grades 3-12. Gallery docents use a variety of interactive, inquiry-based approaches in their teaching to spark curiosity, develop looking techniques and expand critical thinking skills. School tours examine artists, subjects, styles and techniques, and target specific grade levels.
