Since the sessions and workshops are conducted at a home, parents are invited to stay and watch the classes or socialize with other parents in our sunroom, dining room where parent support and info groups may be held, TV room or outside deck or gazebo. If you would prefer, you can simply drop your child off and pick up when session is over. Childrens' classes and practice sessions are held indoors, with fun sensory equipment brought in at end of class for reward time/

Social-ABLE is a Limited Liability Company with a Board of Directors including Social Workers, Teachers, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech Therapists. Our techniques and methods used are based on current research results outlining what works in Social Skills Programs. We use Diagnostic Teaching/Individualized programs/ 2:1 Adult:Child Ratio/Generalization Emphasis/Videotaped Self-Modeling; Sibling, Parent, Peer involvement and training; Direct Theory of Mind Training; Rewards for Motivation; Open Door Policy for Parents; Continual knowledge of current research on social skills training. Classes are offered in the summer months of July and August, on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Both morning and afternoon sessions are offered until the sessions fill (limit of 6 children/class). Neurotypical Peers invited to join in free during some sessions(1 per child limit) |
