Wediko's 45 day Summer Program is the nation's oldest short term residential treatment facility; since 1934, the program has been a model of excellence in serving seriously emotionally and behaviorally disturbed youth (SED). The 450 acre waterfront campus is a therapeutic milieu for children ages 6 to 18, combining the activity-based structure of a summer camp with the academic instruction and intensive clinical intervention of a residential school. Working closely with each child's family, school, and referral agencies, Wediko strives to return children to their homes with a renewed sense of competence and hope.
