Mission
Youth for Understanding (YFU)
prepares young people for their responsibilities and opportunities in a changing, interdependent world.
Description
Youth For Understanding (YFU) is one of the world's largest and most respected international organizations. YFU offers youth exchange programs for students ages 15-19 from around the world. Students live with a volunteer host family, immerse themselves in the local culture and form friendships that bring countries together. YFU exchange students discover new worlds and become part of a community in another country. Not only do students learn about another language and culture; they also gain perspective on the world and develop a stronger sense of self becoming true global citizens.
