Technology Majors for Tomorrow's Careers
Set to launch in Fall 2026, Albright is introducing three new undergraduate majors that reflect the college's commitment to preparing students for high-demand careers in the digital economy. The new **Artificial Intelligence** major will help students understand the essential building blocks of computer science and data science, with comprehensive training in machine learning, computational theory, and ethics. The expanded **Computer Science** major emphasizes applied learning, preparing students to build innovative apps, games, and AI applications using modern best practices and industry-relevant programming languages. The **Cybersecurity** major will train students to protect information systems through network security, cryptography, ethical hacking, and digital forensics, with a focus on practical applications and industry-recognized certifications.
Expanding Athletic Opportunities
Albright is energizing its NCAA Division III athletic programs with exciting new varsity sports. Men's wrestling has returned after being paused since 2006, and women's wrestling debuts in Fall 2026. Women's STUNT, an emerging NCAA sport that elevates cheerleading skills through competitive routines, begins in Spring 2026. Women's flag football launches in Spring 2027, positioning Albright among more than 60 NCAA schools offering this rapidly growing sport that will be featured in the 2028 Olympics.
Enhanced Campus Facilities
The college is investing in state-of-the-art facilities to support student success. Opening in Fall 2026, the new Student Success Commons and Library will feature a learning commons, student success center, writing lab, and event spaces, along with a history and culture center housing collections from the Central Pennsylvania African American Museum and Lakin Holocaust Resource Center. Recent additions include the Golf Performance Center, which opened in March 2025 with premium indoor simulator technology, and the Wrestling Garden Patio, unveiled in October 2025 as a gathering space celebrating Albright's wrestling legacy.
