Styles/Genres: Traditional pedagogy laying the foundation for music representing the four major periods of post-Renaissance music history. Additionally, depending on the student's interest, we work with jazz, pop, church music, rock, country, and use applied theory to write our own lead sheets.

Pricing: 30 minute lessons=$100.00 per month, 45 minute lessons=$150.00 per month, 60 minute lessons=$200.00 per month.

Setting/Location(s): Lessons are offered at my home-based studio in Kansas City, MO (convenient to, not only Kansas City, MO, but also Leawood and Overland Park, KS) and, also, in Lee's Summit, MO, at Piersee Piano & Organ.
Program Highlights:

I offer individualized programs for students at all levels--beginners through advanced. I have a special pre-school preparatory program for children 3-5 years old. I also We are an active studio with students at all levels participating in many events throughout the year--competitive and non-competitive.

Recitals: The Aine Wendler Piano Studio holds two recitals per year--one in December and one in mid-to-late April.
History:

Aine Wendler has over 30 years experience teaching from her studio in many different cities--San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, and New York. Now, settled in Kansas City, this studio has been operating for 2 years.

Education/Awards: Aine holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, MO and a Master of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy from the University of California, Berkeley, in a special program in conjunction with San Francisco State University.
Private Teaching Experience: Aine has been working with children engaged in piano instruction since 1979. Working from a deeply held belief that all children can learn and that music is an integral component in the academic, creative, and social development of children, Aine has developed programs and goals to maximize the benefits of music to her students. In addition to mainstream students, Aine also has experience working in some areas of special needs.
Adjudication: Aine has worked as an adjudicator in Missouri and Kansas for local private school evaluative auditions and for the Mid America Music Association Summer Festival, as well as for numerous events in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
Competitions:

Students have many opportunities to participate in the events and programs sponsored by Ms. Wendler's professional affiliations--Music Teachers National Assocaition (MTNA), Missouri Music Teachers Association (MMTA), Kansas City Music Teachers Association (KCMTA), Federated Music Teachers of Kansas City (National Federation of Music Clubs), Mid America Music Association, and the National Piano Guild.
