History:

Founded by Thom and Gina Alexander in 2001 in downtown Lawrence Ks. The first location was a small space and quickly outgrown by the number of students wanting lessons. In 2002 the Americana moved to it's present location in a historic house on Mass Street near downtown Lawrence.
