Located in East Sandwich, on beautiful Cape Cod, Riverview sits on 16 acres and is within walking distance to the beaches along Cape Cod Bay. Our school is approximately 10 minutes to the Sagamore Bridge, 75 minutes to Boston and 70 minutes to Providence. Riverview offers a residential and day program as well as a six-week residential and day summer program. Our school is committed to developing student competence and confidence in academic, social, and independent living skills. Our post high school students have the unique opportunity to learn and practice vocational skills to prepare them for real world job placement at local businesses including the school run Riverview Cafe and Second View thrift Shop located just a mile down the road from the main campus. Health and wellness are a top priority in our community and our students have access to a 40,000 sq.ft. wellness center, complete with a basketball court, second level walking track, spin studio, boxing studio, group fitness room, yoga/meditation room and fitness equipment as well as staff fitness instructors. We also have a nutrition center where students can learn healthy cooking and eating habits lead by staff nutrition instructors.
The arts are another area where our students can shine. We encourage all of our students to participate in drama, chorus, music or fine arts.
