Writing Assessment

The WASL is planned to include tests in other subjects:

2007-2008: Social Studies WASL assessments will be required in the elementary, middle and High School levels

2008-2009: Arts and Health/Fitness assessments will be required at the middle and high school levels

2009-2010: Arts and Health/Fitness assessments will be required at the elementary level

Writing Assessment
In grades four, seven and ten, students must respond to two writing prompts. They are given an unlimited amount of time to complete the section. Students in fourth grade are required to complete both narrative and expository writing prompts.
