Description:

The New Britain Youth Museum at Hungerford Park is a non-profit museum and a nature center offering unique humanities, cultural, science and animal programs, both on site and in classrooms. We offer the hands-on experience of learning about animals and plants as well as a special environmental history exhibit about Central Connecticut. Hungerford Park is also a rehabilitation center for immature and injured native wildlife. Large playscape picnic area. Walking trails.

The New Britain Youth Museum at Hungerford Park is easy to get to The museum is just 15 minutes from Hartford, 30 minutes from Waterbury and 40 minutes from New Haven. Take Exit 24 off of Route 9 or Exit 7 off of Route 72.
