Setting:

During their time on center, students will be devoted to career technical training and education. They learn the skills to earn high-paying jobs and become successful professionals. When students go to a Job Corps center, they live in dormatories, eat in dining halls and can participate in sports and recreational activities. It is similar to a college campus setting.

History:

Job Corps was founded in 1964 and is a federally funded program. Each year Job Corps serves 60,000 students ages 16 through 24 in more than 100 career technical training areas. There are over 100 centers across the country, and Job Corps offers hands-on training in America's fastest growing career fields.

Program Highlights:

Job Corps students have the chance to train with working professionals in a hands-on learning environment. For those who qualify the program is free! It is valued at about a $30,000 scholarship value per year!

Support Services:

Students receive basic medical care while on campus. We also offer both high school diploma and GED programs. In addition, students are paired with career counselors who help them find a job upon graduation.

Activities:

We offer many activities such as basketball, flag football, softball, art activities, community events and much much more!

Field Trip Destinations: When students go to Job Corps, they have an opportunity to take field trips off campus. These trips consist of visiting local tourist sites, professional athletic events, and even skiing, snowboarding or white water rafting trips.
