History:

MacKenzie's was the first martial arts school to specialize in children's self-defense programs. Since 1983, MacKenzie's has been the leader in youth & family programming. Men, women, boys & girls are welcomed.

Program Highlights:

While MacKenzie's welcomes people of all backgrounds, ages, and ability levels. Our program is designed to take folks from the novice / beginner-level, all the way through the blackbelt / expert and master levels. MacKenzie's has produced more than 35 national champions, as well as four (4) world champions, each winning gold medals in South Korea. MacKenzie's blackbelt-graduates have also gone on to graduate from every Ivy League university, and more. We are quite proud of our student's achievements!

Support Services:

MacKenzie's offers one-on-one coaching and power-talks with all students. Most parents see the MacKenzie-Team as role models, and appreciate the example set for the children.

Program Information:

Basic/ Evaluation
This is a six month program that teaches the students the basic martial arts life skills and fundamentals including self defense techniques, blocks, punches, kicks, and stances. It is a program that allows us to teach the student how to be martial artists, developing them to be a black belt from the inside out. Many of our students elect to enter the Leadership Program within the first few weeks of their Basic enrollment. (if qualified)

Leadership Program
Leaders are not born, they are created. If your desire is to improve your life…our Leadership program is for you! This program is for all students who have set a goal to learn leadership skills that will serve them in all aspects of their lives. Students learn specific class management skills, life skills, advanced weapons usage and fighting methods, and Hapkido training. Students enrolled in this program accept responsibility for becoming leaders in our schools, homes, and community. The Leadership Program is our all inclusive Platinum program which covers all material in the MacKenzie system of Korean Martial Arts. The student will also learn an advanced martial arts skills necessary for our school demo team. Each of our Leadership Members is also invited to learn the MacKenzie's Gold Medal Hapkido curriculum and to train directly with Grandmaster Ken MacKenzie!
