Program History:

Thiel College recently celebrated the dedication of new classroom, laboratory and collaborative spaces in the recently renovated Rhodehouse Science Building.

"This building will advance the College's innovative programs in science and allied health. Our momentum can't be stopped," Thiel College President Susan Traverso, Ph.D. said.

The combination of a state-of-the-art science building combined with dedicated, skilled and committed faculty will continue the College's long legacy of academic achievement, Traverso said.

The improvements at Rhodehouse Science Building include nearly $10 million in additions and renovations focused on science facilities at Thiel. The College received $1.7 million for improvements to laboratories, classrooms and common through a state Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program.

Program Information:

At Thiel College, our chemistry department prepares students to successfully tackle daunting challenges, think critically, and move into a career in their chosen field after earning their bachelor's degree. Chemistry majors will have hands-on experience utilizing modern instrumentation to explore fundamental concepts in the laboratory while gaining experience that will help them in their future jobs. What's more, majors will explore various career paths as they investigate how chemistry is applied in cutting-edge research and in healthcare.
