Library provided computers, internet, Microsoft word, excel. Bring your own laptop and use library wifi at all locations.

Library History:
Santa Maria Public Library was officially formed and opened in 1908 in a grant funded Carnegie Library. In 1962, the Santa Maria Public Library took over the operation of branch libraries in Cuyama, Guadalupe, Los Alamos, and Orcutt. The branches were previously operated by the Santa Barbara Library. The City Library is funded by the City of Santa Maria and county funds. The branch libraries are funded solely with county funds.
Exhibits: Main library has Shepard Hall art gallery/meeting room, local photography club displays on the second floor, and children's art in the Youth Services area. Main library has many display cases available for use by non-profit groups. Each library has local history displays. The Los Alamos Branch has a rotating art display.
