History:
New Public School District #8 is unique and filled with a storied history. In the early 1950s the district was created when over 100 small (mostly one-roomed) schools came together to form the district. The schools were unified to help create more cost efficiency, but a side effect that probably was not anticipated quickly happened. The side effect was the establishment of the New Public School District #8 family.
Children and parents who really didn’t know each other were brought together for the educational benefits a unified school district brings, but at the same time friendships were forged among students, parents, and teachers. These friendships fostered a fierce pride in New Public School District #8 that continues yet today.
Athletics: Basketball and Cheer leading
Transportation: District 8 provides door to door bus service. However, roads must be clear and safe in order for our buses to pick up students.
