Program History:

The Tutoring and Mentoring (TAM) Program began in the public schools in 2001. It is an after-school tutoring and mentoring program designed to serve "at-risk" students in second through sixth grade in reading, math and with basic homework support. During the first hour we focus on academics, while the second hour is spent mentoring in different approved activities such as sports, arts and crafts, playing board games, music, calligraphy or computer training.
