Mission Statement:
To discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
The St. Louis Regional Chapter improves the lives of people living with ALS and their loved ones in eastern Missouri and central and southern Illinois, through services and education. We leave no stone unturned in search for the cure of this progressive neurodegenerative disease.
Program History:
Volunteers are an invaluable part of the ALS Association team. Friendly faces are needed in a variety of areas including patient support, office assistance and event planning/participation. People of all abilities are encouraged to apply.
Events:
Walk to Defeat ALS®
The Walk to Defeat ALS® is an opportunity to bring hope to people living with ALS, to raise money for local services and a cure, and to come together for something you care about. A non-competitive event, participants can choose from either a 1 mile or 3 mile route. The Walk to Defeat ALS® is The ALS Association’s signature event and two of the Chapter’s most celebrated days.
