Program History:

I'RAISE Girls & Boys International Corporation was founded in 2012, formerly known as the I'RAISE Girls Mentoring Program. I’RAISE Girls Mentoring program became known as the first girls mentoring program in District 12 of the Bronx community, providing impactful mentoring services to 40 at-risk female adolescents in the form of traditional individualized and group mentoring. As the growing needs of the community and population changed, the organization worked to increase its capacity to services both males and females and became known as the I’RAISE Girls & Boys International Corporation in 2013.
I’RAISE in its nascent stages burgeoned and grew from servicing 40 youth to 300 youth in just one year, revolutionizing traditional youth development programs in the North Bronx and impacting the lives of several hundreds of youth and families. I’RAISE also expanded in its partnerships with local non-profits, faith based organizations, colleges, and community leaders. Currently located in two Bronx community centers (Gun Hill Community Center and Eastchester Gardens Community Center) and one high school, the Academy of Scholarship & Entrepreneurship, I’RAISE continues to strive to deliver innovative and high quality youth programming, transforming young people lives in the face of the Bronx.
