History:

Agency began with a small group of parents trying to provide better opportunities for their son or daughter with a disability in the 1960's.

Since 1970 Arc Rehab Services has assisted individuals with disabilities or special needs to maximize personal independence through:

Childhood Early Intervention Services

Food Supplement and Nutrition Education for Women, Infants and Children

Employment assessment, training and placement

Adult Personal Daily Living Skills Training

Our mission is being accomplished through five different service offerings.

For adults, the Job Connection program, assists people get jobs who are having difficulty finding or keeping one. Mainstreet Enterprises, is an agency owned work facility in which individuals with disabilities can get valuable training while performing work tasks from local companies either onsite or at our work center. Personal and Community Services, assists people in daily life skills such as health and safety, computer literacy, and accessing services in the local community.

For children and families there is First Steps, a developmental program from birth up to the age of three. First Steps is for children who need additional assistance in maintaining their developmental "growing up" milestones such as speech, walking, grasping, etc. W.I.C. is an income eligible food supplement and nutrition education program for women, infants, and children.
