Testimonials: “We LOVE having you in our classroom. You are such a gift to us.” Benita Carmen, 2nd Grade Teacher Kunsmiller Elementary School, 2010 "For over 5 years, Katherine has been working with Colorado students through Young Audiences. In that time, I have seen her perform for students in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade in a variety of settings. Katherine is a creative artist who truly celebrates children through her music and programs. She captivates her audiences and her students always respond with eager participation. Through the use of sing-alongs, drama, sign language, call and response, props, movement, songwriting and other modes of teaching, Katherine keeps her audiences interested and constantly learning new ways to have fun with the English language. Throughout each song, Katherine encourages students to join in with sound effects, instruments, dancing and most importantly – laughter! Katherine has a wealth of knowledge and experience that sets her apart in her field. She possesses all the qualities of a consistent and talented educational artist. The staff at Young Audiences of Colorado appreciates her ability to connect with students and staff alike. She has been an amazing asset in ensuring the continuing of quality arts programming in Colorado. I am confident that her talent would serve you well." Sincerely, Christine Kittlestadt, Prgram Director, Young Audiences of Colorado “Katherine Dines, will you come back every week?” Several children ages 5, 6 and 7 following three-day residency at Coosada Elementary School in Alabama. “I just love your CHANT cd, and so do all the children! So much so in fact, that we have created a whole spring program around it!” Linda McGann, Signal Mountain, TN 2005 " Dear Katherine, Your musical performance at Homestead Elementary School's assembly was such a hit I just had to let you know. The students, parents of students, and teachers alike came up to me in the days following the show with wonderful comments. I know the impact of your performance first-hand because my daughter Carly, who's in 5th grade, sang the potato song on the way to soccer practice. I feel so fortunate to have stumbled across your brochure in the file of information that was handed to me when I took over as the volunteer enrichment coordinator. You are a delight to work with. You returned my calls and e-mails quickly, took into account our theme of Celebrating Diversity, and magically held the attention of hundreds of elementary students from kindergarten to 5th grade. Hats off to you! You have a special gift. Please feel free to use me as a reference should the need arise. All my best," Paulla Nelson-Shira Publisher/Editorial Director “I haven’t had so much fun since I was in Kindergarten!” Refiki Badur, age 12 following a concert in CA
