Description:

White Sands Missile Range is the site of the world's first atomic explosion- the birth of the nuclear age- and man's first journey beyond the Earth's atmosphere- the birth of the space age. The Museum explores these modern events and the history of testing, plus pre-cultural and natural history of the Tularosa basin

Outdoor Missile Park contains examples of rockets and missiles tested on the Range, plus a restored V-2 rocket. In addition to WSMR souvenirs the Gift Shop stocks Tularosa Basin items.
