Albion College provides students with comprehensive campus technology resources, including robust wireless networking, access to Microsoft Office 365, academic software licenses, and support for email, Google apps, course management systems, and more through the Office of Information Technology. Students can take advantage of several computer labs located across campus—such as those in Olin Hall, Putnam Hall, and the Seeley G. Mudd Learning Center—each equipped with multiple workstations, printers, and standard academic software to support coursework and projects. Albion’s Innovation Lab offers a hands-on tech experience where students can design and print 3D objects, try immersive virtual reality experiences, program Lego and robotics tools, and use a variety of creative tools and equipment to bring projects to life.

Albion College evaluates applicants primarily on academic performance, including high school coursework, GPA, and strength of schedule. Albion does not require a minimum GPA for admission, but applicants below a 3.0 GPA may be asked for additional materials or an interview as part of our holistic review of academic performance and other strengths. As a test-optional institution, students may choose whether to submit SAT or ACT scores. In keeping with a holistic review process, the Admission Committee also considers extracurricular involvement, recommendations, essays, and interviews—none of which are required, but all of which help the College better understand a student’s interests, strengths, and potential fit at Albion.
