At our Miami campus, we educate students in kindergarten through 12th grade,  and we offer the convenience of the Living Independently with Fundamental Experiences Program. The L.I.F.E. Program teaches young adults ages 18 and older the skills they need to live a more independent life in the home and in the workplace.

We support students with a wide range of learning differences — including autism, ADHD, and dyslexia — and our focus is always on helping students become as independent and successful as possible.

We welcome new students year-round.

We offer students with learning differences hope and preparation for life

The mission of Atlantis Academy is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to enhance our students’ academic, social and emotional growth and to foster a sense of self-worth and self-confidence.

Atlantis Academy was established in Miami in 1976 as an innovative school for students who needed a personalized program that included individualized attention and specialized instruction. We emphasize the importance of parent/teacher/student relationships and form close relationships with our families so parents can be active participants in developing an educational program to achieve their child's individual goals.

Today, Atlantis Academy includes three campuses, kindergarten through 12th grade (through age 22), in Coral Springs, Miami, and West Palm Beach. We also operate the Atlantis Academy L.I.F.E. Programs, an adult transition program, in Miami and Coral Springs. Every day, we educate more than 500 students who have unique learning needs and help them develop the education and life skills to reach their full potential academically, socially and behaviorally.

We help your child reach their full potential by teaching in a way that's tailored to their unique needs and then consistently measuring their progress.

In fact, before your child even enrolls at Atlantis Academy, we conduct academic assessments, which are used to determine which program is best:

  • The Traditional Program mirrors the ages and grade levels found in public school. High school students, for example, change classes throughout the day. Our model, however, includes a low student-to-teacher ratio and personalized instruction.
  • The Foundations Program is suited for students who thrive with more academic, social, and behavioral support.
  • The Living Independently with Fundamental Experiences Program teaches young adults ages 18 and older the skills they need to live a more independent life in the home and in the workplace.

Then, we use evidence-based instruction, which means we use instructional methods that are backed by research and continue to assess your child to monitor improvement. This helps us see -- daily -- what is working well and what needs adjusting.
